I hate to weigh in on this, myself. But you know, Christopher, I have followed your insinuations on this thread for several days. I do try to be fair with people, but I admit I have a bias in this affair: I happen to think both Poet and E are really wonderful people.
Nor do I have anything against you, per se, Christopher--in spite of the differences we have had over issues in the past. No big deal, Christopher.
As you know, Christopher...neither you, I, E, or Poet are in our salad days anymore. All of us will probably die in the next decade or two (or maybe three). Do you really think that either E or Poet are the kind of people who you should misrepresent on this journey?
If what you said about Poet is less than an accurate portrayal of her character--but rather an inadvertent reaction during an emotional time...then I think that a well read and a well lived person would see fit to set the record straight.
Any aspersion that Poet is unpatriotic is cruelly false and ought not to stand. I know her beliefs. I think you know the kind of heart she has, too. Do you really wish your last words on this matter to be reflective of disdain and disrespect? |
