I don't get it. Why didn't the U.S. formally declare war when for the first time in history we have to have a thing called Homeland Defense. What do you need a homeland defense for if you're not at war? Could it be they are afraid of freaking people out? Well it's too late for that ... we're already freaked. Declare war and all the liberals can stop whining about how we treat the enemy. This is war and the war is being fought on American soil as much as it is in Afghanistan ... civilian laws can't and shouldn't apply here unless you are a citizen of the country. Even then if you commit treason you should pay the price for it instead of hiring a high priced attorney to see if he can get you off. You don't try to destroy the country and then use it's constitution to defend yourself.
