I heat that the Sox are gonna make a run at Boone. And dumping Jimy Williams as manager and replacing him with Joe Kerrigan was an obvious mistake; We lost a terrific pitching coach in Kerrigan ( his pitching staff led the AL in ERA for two seasons, never before done in my lifetime) and lost an experienced manager for a rookie manager. That the team fell apart at that time wasn't much of a surprise. Giambi will likely end up in NY, George will make him an offer he can't refuse...and the word is out that Boston has big clubhouse-GM problems...lotta guys don't want that kind of atmosphere. I love Alou and if you don't grab him I hope we can. He's a player.
