Most American aid to Israel is in the form of loans with conditions -- the condition that the money be spent buying arms from American defense contractors. Can we say good for business?

Israel would survive a "decolonization" easily. Just compare the size of its economy to any of its neighbors. It is the only Middle Eastern state with a modern European economy.

Of course, if we stopped giving aid to Israel, we'd probably stop giving aid to Egypt as well. They would have a much tougher time doing without it.
