50# spun this morning, eight decent sized pieces. I'm whooped and my arms feel like 100# each(not to mention the twitch in my right shoulder<G>)!

Have decided to give it a break for now and go make breakfast for the kids. Only one tragedy. I don't have the correct shelf space to be putting all these pieces; so they are spread out sporadically here and there. I had one from yesterday resting on an old HP printer box. I tried to put one from this morning on the same box and down tumbled the piece from yesterday.

I'm thinking today I might go visit the dragon and fire her up. I'll probably gradually take it to 300-600° and let it maintain there for a few hours. That way I'll clean out all the cob webs<G> and be able to monitor each of the 14 burners to see that they are all burning consistently.

During that time I'm going to reinventory my glaze chemicals. It's still too early IMO to begin mixing any glazes, but I have a good number of kiln shelves that need scraping and will apply a fresh coat of kiln wash to them. I think I have between 24 and 36 12"x24" shelves so that will be a likely be a full project alone.

Have a good day.

P.S> I sure hope this doesn't turn out to be another experience in vanity
