Ever get the feeling there has been an information leak from MBI? I have my doubts the price and volume jump are just anticipatory buying alone. I think it could have been partially caused by the shorts bailing out in the last two trading days.

I heard the rumor Canaccord is selling into any rally attempts. They preach longterm investing to their clients but those guys are very accomplished daytraders. They were probably net buyers in the $1.30 - $1.40 range. Somebody was putting a base under this stock.

Events will show Canaccord and the other brokers are going to be on the right side of the market in the coming weeks/days. Canaccord and their ilk will be pushing their clients to buy and doing a lot of trades/crosses in the coming weeks. The money is not in the commissions any broker collects, it is in the successful daily trading of their house accounts, and volume is king. It is legalized profiteering built on the greed (and fear) of small individual investors. If they can make a 50-cent profit on any share, they will. And they just did!

As always happens, Canaccord will run out of shares to sell from its house account. Then another broker (who has been accumulating at these current levels) will become the seller-of-the-day while Canaccord becomes a net buyer again. And the cycle repeats....

JMHO.
