Interesting, but I don't buy into those conspiracy theories. Not because they are outside of the realm of possibility, but because the bureaucracy is too incompetent at the higher levels to pull it off without creating a feeding frenzy among the media with the first leak from some civil servant who didn't get stroked correctly. If you go down that road pretty soon you are at the Bildergergers and the Freemasons. However, there is a lot of truth in that article. There is little doubt that the Carlyle group links the Bush family and a lot of military-industrial types to the Saudi royal family, who as you know had at least one bad apple on their tree.
I'm sure there is also a power struggle going on as to exactly who is in charge of the anthrax investigation -- the FBI, the CIA, or the new Tommy Thompson group. The FBI is probably told to step back whenever they get too close to national security intel areas, and that may cause some to conclude there is a conspiracy, but that's just the way the gummint works at those levels.
However, if you like conspiracy theories, I have a pretty good candidate for whodonit, I will PM you |
