"I actually wonder why different religions insist so much on their own Gods."

Because:

-- they arise through a great Teacher (man or woman)
-- who (typically) functions primarily in A society
-- the Teaching (or understanding of it) is reflective of
that society, to some degree.
-- Just as egos insist on their own identity, individual cultures emulate that by emphasizing their own separateness and distinctness.
-- consequently, the original Teaching gets BENT from what it was originally.

In other words, you can blame people, not God, for the religious mess that presently exists.

Namaste!
