You're right in that it does call for the avg. to be used in the calculation. And in the case you cite, the value per share received could be outside of the parameters I listed. But I think that there is a high likelihood that we would not see such extreme volatility. It could happen, but I doubt it.
Even if TRY shares are not as volatile as in your example, I do see where the value received could be beyond the parameters, depending on the trend of the TRY shares. The unnerving thing about this, however, is that if TRY shares were to dump just before the end of the fifteen day period, we could see quite a bit less. Not good. At all.
