Sales Negotiations for Hyundai Curitel Wrapped up

SEOUL, Nov 26 Asia Pulse - Hyundai Curitel Co., an affiliate of Hynix Semiconductor and the country's No. 3 CDMA handset maker, was finally sold to the KTB consortium after weeks of sales negotiations.
The KTB Network, a leading venture capital firm, said Sunday it has signed a contract with Hynix Semiconductor the previous day to acquire Hyundai Curitel in a consortium with Pantech Co., a Korean mobile phone maker.

The agreement was reached by Hynix Managing Director Choi Soo, KTB Nework Director Koo Bon-yong and Pantech Vice Chairman Park Byung-yop, the KTB said.

Under the agreement, the KTB consortium will take over the entire equity of Hyundai Curitel Co. at 47.6 billion won (US$37.4 million) as well as the company's debts.
