I'm not sure I understand the problem. I had a problem with the cdrw being recognized by another application until I tried to use it. After it had been used the cdrw was recognized.

I did not open the Roxio file; if I go to remove software the Roxio program is not even listed

If you haven't installed it yet it will not be listed in the Add/Remove Applet.

have already deleted once already the roxio file to install and I wind up back at square one. Any replies would be appreciated.


Can you elaborate? Did you just delete the file or did you install and then remove through the add/remove program?
