Can anyone help me in regard to calculating the adjusted cost base for Alcatel (Canada) shares. I originally had x shares in Newbridge which were converted to .8x shares of alcatel(canada) shares. How can I calculate the adjusted cost base in order to find the capital gain or loss. I do not know what the price was for NNC when it got converted.
