Milo, Re: "RtCW supports 3DNow .. It's still supported as well as newer 3DNow Professional (SSE)" That explains why that game tends to run better on an Athlon machine. I am hoping that enhancements from Northwood help Intel to regain more of a lead in exciting games such as this one. Quake III is getting rather old, and hardly worth bragging about any more. wbmw
