Fyo, Re: "We'll see once Northwood is launched (and shipped)" You don't need to wait that long. Check out motherboard web sites now. They all claim Northwood compatibility for socket-478 enabled motherboards. That is, unless you are claiming that some motherboards that claim compatibility will not be compatible. Somehow, I doubt that little bit of wishful thinking will manifest itself. wbmw
