<<Nope, and what does this have to do with my post on Linux?>> dave, if you don't have broadband there is no way you can comment on the future of the internet. the download speeds are amazingly fast. if you had broadband you would see the importance of it and especially over cpu power. broadband is to the internet as the cpu processing chip was to the pc. the only problem with your analysis and msft's product strategy is that we are entering the internet era and not the pc era. it appears that neither one of you are well positioned for the future. by the way, you can get broadband through a satellite dish. don't they pay you microphiles enough to have a dish? rocky.
