What on earth are you talking about? The U.S. government has nothing to say in this matter. It is true, that Microsoft could withdraw from Europe (if that is what you mean), but any threat about that would be the end of European sales. The US government will never intervene in such a matter. Bush may not have invented the wheel, but he doesn't have suicidal tendencies.

Right now it is hard for many Europeans to understand, why Microsoft has special monopoly protection not enjoyed by European companies. This will change.
