In the past, letter sending and terrorism have been linked to the Unabomber. A left wing environmental zealot. It's still speculation, but I see nothing spectacularly brilliant about sending Anthrax letters toward the extreme left wing of the Democrat party, in the hope it will point a finger toward militant militia elements in America, while simultaneously creating political rifts and destablilizing our unity of purpose. CNN is beamed worldwide, and Patrick Leahy has been a national figure of the left wing variety for many years. Additionally, many of the terrorist members lived in Canada and the U.S. So, discovering which political figures represent the left wing in America wouldn't be very difficult. One last point...we may find out years from now that Timothy McViegh actually worked for these terrorists. There is some speculation floating around about a possible link already. If so, they have a history of blaming militant militia groups and getting away with it. Repeating the same pattern, would be a possible scenario. If I were Ted Kennedy, I would be checking my mail very closely...
