Anyone here remember Wayne Angell? Well he's gone now.

Bear Stearn's Chief Economist to Retire
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wayne Angell, the chief economist at Bear Stearns & Co. and a former Federal Reserve (news - web sites) Board governor, will retire from the firm after more than seven years of service, a company spokesman said on Monday.

The 71-year-old Angell joined Bear Stearns in 1994 after having served as a Fed governor for eight years. Angell is expected to leave the firm by year-end.

``Wayne has been a tremendous asset to our firm. He's one of the top economists on Wall Street and he's proven to be an invaluable resource to our clients. He will be missed,'' said Russell Sherman, a spokesman at Bear Stearns.
