re: so THz is actual frequency then?
you really ought to look this up before making such ignorant comments. THz (or Terahertz) is a real frequency, and it equals 1,000GHz. However, Intel's Terahertz transistor will be the switching speed of the transistor itself, not of the CPU that employs them. Eventually, CPUs using terahertz transistors can get up to the 10-20GHz range, and that's in this decade. Later improvements may improve the speed further.
