If a person thinks my opinions are traitorous then yes, I think they are entitled to hold and freely express their opinion.

I also have confidence in "the reader's" ability to comprehend the basis for an opinion. Whatever conclusions they draw, I may disagree with it, disrespect it, but will always be cognizant of their right to it.

It should be obvious that I don't agree voicing dissent is wrong. In the early days of the 9/11 attack I voiced criticism and dissent that could be possibly labeled as "traitorous" (since it was critical of the administration) and if there are readers who perceive it as such. So be it.

They would simply be wrong. Opinions can be like that.
