I can only say that when dissenters are intimidated into silence, it is not good for the body politic.

I agree with you 100% E. I want to know who I can and cannot trust. I want to know who my enemies are. I want to know who is on my side. Let them speak out loudly and clearly so that we may have discourse.

I suspect that most of the anti-war anti-govt. protestors aren't anti-American but that they see solutions by other means? The fact that they are so naive about our societal complexities and level of evolution, as a whole, should be taken into consideration.

There is nothing wrong with drawing lines of distinction as long as both sides understand and abide by the general rules of civil interaction. That they disagree is fine, I disagree with stuff all of the time. I have been spoken of disparagingly at one time or another, called "bad" names. Labeling me did not change my mind one bit. Intelligent and logical conversation has.

We all remember the childhood chant Sticks and Stones? We must remember that it is the sticks that hurt. No sticks allowed is what they want, I think?

PS Calling someone an "OBL lover" or "traitor" are just words, whereas actions speak volumes.
