Albert, If intel would enter x86-64 that may spell the end of ia64. I'm no longer convinced of that. Intel can spin things however they like. They can spin Itanic for high end servers due to their "superior reliability and scaleability" (while praying that they can still get $3500 a piece for them), while positioning their x86-64 to keep AMD's Hammer from dropping on their head. The way I see it, they have no choice. But for now, while Hammer is still being forged and Intel is trying to get traction for Itanic, Intel x86-64 does not exist, has never existed, and will never exist. Pravin.
