Actually, "sticks and stones" is a good way of looking at it, kind of. If the "names" morph into sticks and stones as they did in the McCarthy era, and have in an era in which university students think it appropriate to silence those with whom they disagree, well, it sucks.

And I've said it, and i'm glad, and you guys can continue with your spoof or demonization/intimidation orgy as the case may be, and I feel better having made clear I think if it's the latter it sucks.
