I'd add that I want to know what they have to say that might make me question my side.

Asking questions IS good.

I question those who make statements such as:

"Anyone who can blow up the Pentagon gets my vote."

Or this one:

"The American Flag is a symbol of terrorism and death and fear and destruction and oppression."

And this:

Administrator at Central Michigan University tells students to remove patriotic posters (an American flag, eagle) from their dormitory on the grounds that they were "offensive."

There is absolutely not one shred of doubt in my mind that to point out, and take issue with these "opinions" is very American. I do so freely, as an American, here in this forum, and I will continue to do so. They are anti-American statements.
