I might agree if I thought there was some unfairness in the tribunal proceeding.

I don't have a paranoid bone in my body. I don't see any reason why the tribunals can't provide a fair trial. I would expect the participants to take things very seriously and do their duty with honor. Just because I can't see what's going on in the court room doesn't mean it's unfair.

However, I recognize the importance of the perception of a fair trial. If my little scheme would get Spain etc. to hand over the suspects, mollify those who are worried about the destruction of our rights, who cares what it costs. This war ain't cheap. The trials would be a drop in the bucket--less than the cost of a batch of Cipro or a guided missile. You can be one stubborn guy when you think your position is righteous. If we can meet everyone's needs, why not do it? This is important.
