Don't know about un-American - it certainly stretches towards that - Evil definitely.

Agree with all your other conclusions and I don't think it can be said enough: horrific, inappropriate and insensitive - pretty stupid too.

But a typical American jerk? Naw - I think he's in a category of jerkness all by himself.
