Zeev, economic stimulus package is now likely to be dead,
killed by partisan politics. pbs newshour analysts on
friday of both political persuasions agreeing that both
sides are locked into their positions, looks like nobody
will budge. there seems to be a sense "well the economy
looks like it's going to do OK anyway now", so we don't
need to look for compromise.

how do the turnips take continued stalemate and eventual
non-passage of ANY stimulus package? hasn't a $100B +/-
stimulus package already been discounted by the market???

i don't know how long it will take to become patently
clear that no package will get passed, but this looks like
yet another huge fundamental negative that the market is
refusing to face....I just wonder what it will take to
precipitate out all the nasty news the mkt has been
shrugging off for weeks.
