I bet the fleas would be frozen in your area. Still wearing shorts ever since March 22nd. Have had some days in the
20s though.

We get snowfleas in the middle of the winter here (springtails), but they don't bite.

We wear our shorts until very late in the season. My husband is still wearing his to work, which makes everyone furious as they say that they get cold just looking at him. However, he and some of the delivery drivers who come into his place every day (Fedex, UPS, and Purolator) like to see who can hold out the longest before breaking down and wearing pants even after the snow starts getting deep and the temperatures are hitting 0 F. I wear my beat up plaid flannel boxer shorts just about everywhere until around Christmas regardless of the snow. I consider it an Act of Resistance against the will of the Snow Gods. However, I do keep a parka and some jeans behind the seat of the truck in case I break down or slide off of some backroad on my way somewhere.. I may be tough, but I'm not stupid..
