I think the party is being called too early for a reversal of the downtrend. More negative news is likely as S3 is being outgunned in the stores and is winning a lower proportion of designs than needed to retain their 50%+ market share. That means we have declining prices for second rate performance graphics products and, at the same time, declining market share. The next six months will more likely continue to be on a downtrend than on an uptrend. There are no exciting, competition killing graphics products in the current pipeline to defend against loss of market share and the trend in pricing is unlikely to abate in the slow summer months.

IMO S3 is a fine company but I think it's wise to take the lead of the insiders and at lest wait until the price hits the 7 level and the news has some hint of being positive before considering it a buy.
