You're right, there appears to be some conflicts between the WSJ and the WP stories. And according to this story, from the local El Mercurio in Santiago, the results won't be known until this week, possibly Wed or Thurs, due to the thousands of different strains of anthrax that have to be sorted through to find the right strain. I don't buy any of that, but that is what is being reported. Oh, and they are still reporting that the anthrax was mailed from Zurich, though I don't think that is an independent confirmation, they are just repeating the earlier story. One other interesting fact, they report 400 anthrax hoax letters having been tested by their health authorities, but the tests, which take 48 to 72 hours, came back negative on all of them but the Banfi case. As I said, I am skeptical of the whole thing.
