For those of you not aware,

The basket of stocks that comprise the XAU have a total outstanding shares of 1.8 billion as a group.
Compared to CSCO that has over 7.3 Billion shares alone.

So the Group in the XAU as a total have 1 quarter of the stock outstanding of just 1 Nasdaq listed Tech stock. One of the reasons the Nasdaq did so well in the begining is because their was a lack of shares available to buy when investeors came looking. The IPo's were quickly absorbed. Imagine a similar situation in Gold <ggg>
