<Ever think it is more like the Wizard of Oz? Pull away the curtain and you have nothing but a scared old man....sort of like the Emperor who wore no clothes >
Not at all. Well, not in the short term and certainly not scared. I see an old man who is enjoying life enormously.
For the short term, he is doing things just right to maintain the value of money; in particular the US$ and the evidence is the high value of the US$ in the face of all the drama of the past 2 years, [which might change because there is more to the value of the US$ than the management of the $, such as the judicial and political behaviour of those ruling the USA which might change and frighten me away from the USA]
In the long run, a few years ago I predicted the demise of the dollar as Eudoracoin, the Q, takes over. This would be a cybercurrency, backed by the value of productive enterprise and would represent an ownership share in QUALCOMM or a bunch of companies.
It would be encrypted, cost nothing to send through cyberspace, would be untaxed and would be stable, [not subject to dilution by a third part, the Federal Reserve; printing of more shares by the company would not dilute the existing shareholders because they are the owners of the company and would authorize the printing of new Q to enhance the companies].
Uncle Al is doing a great job and is making it tough for cybercurrencies to take over from him. The US$ is now transactable in cyberspace via PayPal and other means and if he plays his cards right [subject always to the political interference of ignorant J6P and their representatives in Washington], Uncle Green$pan will be able to see off the competition.
But I think in the long run, the defective political structure of the USA, which has mob rule, will see the US$ destroyed by mismanagement. I hope there is a Q up and running ready to take over before that happens. It will probably be a while yet [at least 5 years] before the US$ runs into big trouble [though a week in politics is a long time].
