AOL and AMZN are not analogous. Not in the least.

It certain ways they are. As businesses, no. But as companies whose investment stories are highly visible, yes. As companies that generated much ill will from either customers, investors, or both, yes.

But if your point is that AMZN's future will bear no resemblance to the path taken by AOL, I agree. AOL wasn't, I believe, so many years in the red.
