I don't know if you would agree but of all the nations in the Middle East, Iran, even more so than Saudi Arabia, seems most equipped to be the regional leader. One thing that makes this less likely is the fact that it is not Arab. Tim, true but why does a nation have to be Arab to be the leader of the Muslim Middle East? Is being Arab that strong a sect or cultural tie? ted
