I thought you had described yourself as an agnostic. My bad. But what do you wonder about the voice I hear? Does not any believer hear the voice? Do people sit in judgement of whether what that voice says is acceptable or not? Perhaps what the Taliban hear from "the voice" is not acceptable, but I hear is "acceptable"?

What do you mean by "the meaning"? How can one be guided by a higher power if they don't "hear"? Is it our upbringing and inner self that guides what we hear? I think, clearly, that what OBL hears is dumb and hurtful, if not understandble. And I hear a very different voice. One that says things like... "turn the other cheek".

So whatcha mean, Neocon dude? :)
