I'm just learning e-wave really too - I've used other TA for several years now. The tutorial on the elliottwave.com website is a good place to start for e-wave. A few years ago I got the classic book my Edwards and Magee out of the library here to learn the pattern based TA - the other stuff like stochastics and Bollinger Bands I just picked up online. I invented my own system too using econometric methods. I'm an academic researcher in economics/environmental management/geography. I started off pretty skeptical about TA but when I managed to get positive results with my own method using econometric analysis I then started using traditional techniques that seem related and then on and on....
