The God of the Old Testament was a mean man. Clearly, imo. And that is my opinion. When asked to turn my life over to him, I said "no"! But we learn things as we grow and are taught, and must filter all through that. Now... if a "voice" told me to kill what the voices of my growing had taught me to know are innocents... I would say "no". The idea that a voice is accepted without question is wrong, and to accept it without question is wrong. We decide what is right for ourselves. I might hear a "voice" but I would never accept a "voice" that BinLadin seems to hear. And, be sure, it's not that I wouldn't kill your ass if I thought it would save 5000. I would. That's basic. But then I'm not Jesus. How could anyone not know that he was not a pasifict? What does it really mean to be a Christian?
