Well, the northern part of country remains pessimistic and liberal. I think its the climate; the frigid cold in the northeast and upper midwest and the constant rain in the northwest lends itself to gloom.

I don't think I've listened to Wagner once since I headed west. I used to listen to him frequently when I lived in Connecticut....
