I'm not sure if the smart money is buying here. Scared fund managers definitely are, but I have my doubts about the smart money. COTs are getting shorter, not longer.

Re PPT: from what I can tell, the PPT has gotten very good at boosting the DJ futures overnight, probably to the tune of about $20 million a night. That could be easily overwhelmed by institutional or foreign selling, however, and get expensive very quickly.
