Dialogue is dormant as folks lick their investment wounds. But content isn't bad (EETIMES, Lightreading, NWFUSION etc) all show that the communications world still is progressing. Mr Greenspan's liquidity fix should help in about 6 months. In the mean time its sifting through the tech wreck for curiousity's sake. There is a lot going in technology. Chips, BUS, and access speeds are rising, prices are falling, and the metro constipation is being slowing relieved. Why I even heard some optimistic tones from some one with a big long haul provider. OC 192 components are becoming realistically priced and increasingly available (and just what is that Kalkovan up to anyway). As you have pointed out on GTR, there has been much discussion and headway made on standards and physical interfaces (boring stuff to the quick fix investors and those that thirst for rocket science). I think we just need some provocative bait to lure people back to the boards. Steve
