The consumer confidence board numbers were very telling today. 3 of my personal friends are out of work and have been looking for jobs for more than 6 months now. These are hard working well educated people. The lines for any job opening are getting longer and longer and longer they are telling me. And the positions are crap. The local utility company had an opening for a pathetic job yet the next morning had 1500 applications and had to close the position 30 minutes after opening it. You bet people are worried out there. They are seeing their friends and family lose their jobs and they know they could be next. And if anyone thinks that Joe Smith is really in this market, they are mistaken. The old "wealth affect" of Joe Smith is long gone and it ain't coming back. They lost their 401K, their extra money and then some. This is just a house of cards driven by a few fat pigs that are getting ready to sh*t. JMHO.
