Does anybody think INCY is making an error when they are trying to get into drug development?

I keep on recalling in my head the argument why Microsoft never bought out any PC makers - they never want to go into competition with their customers. A same argument can be seen when 3DFX bought out STB.

Is INCY going to be doing the same? How much of that $56M of quarterly revenues can they expect to lose due to customer cancellations? (Is this concern even valid?)

It just seems to me that the quickest way for INCY to get into drug development is just to get taken over.. INCY's balance sheet is strong, but it isn't the $1.5B that MLNM or HGSI has in the bank.

Anybody share similar sentiments?

On a more humourous note, if you're Roy Whitfield and the only way you can get your stock up 17% in a day is by resigning, that's gotta hurt. :)
