TABLE-Japan Oct machine tool orders down 41.2% yr/yr

TOKYO, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Japanese machine tool makers received orders worth 51.05 billion yen ($412.2 million) in October, down 41.2 percent from a year earlier, the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association said on Wednesday.



The October orders marked a seventh successive month of year-on-year decline, it said.

Domestic demand fell for the seventh consecutive month and foreign demand fell for a sixth straight month.

Following is a breakdown of machine tool orders received in October and the year to date with percentage changes from a year earlier, in billions of yen:

OCTOBER YR/YR JAN-OCT YR/YR

TOTAL 51.05 (-41.2) 691.02 (-13.8)

- Domestic 25.13 (-48.5) 358.10 (-15.3)

- Foreign 25.92 (-31.7) 332.92 (-12.1)

North America 9.15 (-44.3) 136.10 (-21.9)
