Well, I did a little experiment on my flight home tonight. Instead of being efficient and emptying the contents of my pockets into my laptop bag as I have been doing for the past few weeks. I kept my watch on, pens in pocket, change etc..... and only emptied them when I got to the security checkpoint. Every time that I have tried to be efficient and not have any metal on my body before the checkpoint, I have had the full search, including the chemical residue test, the bag search and the wand search.

I do have to say that the level of inconvenience going through security has gone up significantly every week. I am now to the point where I will only travel when it is absolutely necessary.

And in my opinion, it isn't necessary. They keep on implementing procedures that are downright inefficient and there are still a lot of holes in the security aspect. The problem isn't underpaid workers, it is a broken process to start with. You could pay these men and women $30/hr and the same problems would still exist tomorrow.
