Firstar, through its Recreation Finance Division, has signed
an agreement with Jayco Inc., a manufacturer of recreational
vehicles, to be Jayco's preferred lender and provide a variety of
financing plans to consumers through Jayco dealers. Firstar is a
unit of U.S. Bancorp, Minneapolis.

Visionics Corp., Minnetonka, said the Dominican Republic
has selected one of its FaceIt-enabled document verification
systems for a national security initiative, called the National
Center for Classified Information.

Best Buy Co. Inc., Eden Prairie, has formed an alliance with
Partsearch Technologies to build a Master Parts Catalog for
model-specific replacement parts and accessories. The catalog
will centralize model-specific parts information in the
consumer electronics, major appliance, computer and cellular
phone categories.

Navarre Corp., New Hope, has begun a business relationship
with Staples Inc. to distribute PC software to Staples'
distribution centers.

FSI International Inc., Chaska, said a U.S. semiconductor
manufacturer has placed follow-on orders for its Zeta 300mm
surface conditioning system.

Northwest Airlines Corp., Eagan, and its Northwest Airlink
partner, Express Airlines I, will offer new nonstop Canadair
Regional Jet service between Minneapolis/St. Paul and
Jacksonville, Fla., beginning Feb. 13.

A group including Gabelli Asset Management Inc. has raised
its stake in Hector Communications Corp., Hector, Minn., to
12.95 percent, according to a filing Tuesday with the Securities
and Exchange Commission. The Gabelli group beneficially
owned 435,900 shares of Hector Communications common
stock after buying 40,900 shares and selling 3,600 between Oct.
10 and Friday at prices from $13.73 to $15.20. Hector shares
recently traded at $15.06.
