Intel Having Trouble Meeting Processor Demand, Report Says

Intel (INTC:Nasdaq - news - commentary - research - analysis) was lower in the premarket after a report said it's having trouble meeting demand for its Pentium 4 microprocessor.

An Intel spokeswoman told Bloomberg the company is "trying to remedy the tight situation this quarter."



The chipmaker has slashed the Pentium 4's price by 84% in its first year as it contends with a big slump in computer demand
