They will most likely pay a monthly bill based on work preformed that month.

Mark typically these jobs are quoted from a general known quantity of work that needs converted. This is usually a ballpark figure but the bill is usually based off of a per image charge. This price varies typically from .05 to .15 an image. Depending on indexing needs and the general quality of the scanned materials.

Many times the scanners are bought and paid for just in time for the job. Workers and such may need to be hired to preform the work.
