considering that a few lbo funds looked at the books, having more access then you and I, means it was not all Kosher. The deal may still be negotiated, at the best terms for DYN. D* is not liable, because the debt downgrade is clearly material. Rating agencies said they may change their minds if a deal comes along, but I think the $4bn will still have to be due, but banks may forgive, again if a deal comes thruogh. I think it was halted because the (stock) exchange wants to know for sure ("request for more info") if they are still talking.
