The gist behind the "QuantiSpeed" campaign is to show that an Athlon XP system at a given "QuantiSpeed" rating is faster than a P4 system at the "equivalent" MHz rating. This should be especially true for P4 systems with SDRAM. Yet everywhere I go, I see many more P4 SDRAM systems for sale than Athlon XP systems. That tells me how well AMD is getting the message across.

Pointing out price listings on PriceWatchItDrop.com is pointless because most people who use that web site know the difference between clock speed, "QuantiSpeed," and actual system performance.

<x86-64 and Intel's variant>

Already assuming that Intel has a variant in the works? That's a good one.

Tell me again, what advantage will 64 bits give AMD on the desktop?
