Tench, AMD is hoping to somehow enter the corporate market through some magic marketing bullet. They also want to demonstrate that they are not me-toos. x86-64 and its intel variant do not compete in the same segment as Itanium. They will compete in the current Xeon market segment. Itanium and its derivatives are aiming higher, right? C p.s. You did not comment on my previous points. Does that mean you 1. Agree or 2. You'd rather not comment?
